Some mask concepts I sketched up for a friend. The sketch is really rough, as I forgot to ink it before I scanned it.
Mask A: This is meant to be made strictly of fabrics. Dark red, sort of shiny fabric underneath to match the dress it's to be worn with, a layer of creme lace, and either a creme or gold trim. Perhaps a layer of batting for volume, or something stiffer underneath for support.
Mask B: Basically the same idea as A. Creme fabric (or chiffon), a lighter lace, and a pearly (or gold) trim. For some reason if it's made with opaque creme fabric (instead of translucent chiffon) I think this one should be stretched over a mask form (likely plaster cast from the wearer's face) and have more shape to it. If made from chiffon, likely best with a wire frame.
Mask C, D, and E: These are all variations on each other. Basically, a plaster base, painted ivory, with paper-clay vines, also painted ivory, and those little rose-ribbons as accents. If I had more faith in my modelling skills I'd suggest actually making the roses from clay as well but...I'm not so talented, so far as I know.
